Luigino “Luigi” Tripodi was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, raised in Fresh Meadows, Queens. He has spent the last 45 years in the hospitality industry and is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, 1983. After graduation he apprenticed in some of the top French restaurants at the time in NYC. After working at the Ritz Café, he them became the Executive chef at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, & The Palm Steakhouse in Manhattan. He was also the chef for the Back bay restaurant group out of Boston and was involved in the Pappa Razzi concepts in the Northeast. He also worked as executive chef at the HO Ho Kus Inn in North Bergen. His parents were born in Castel Ruggero, Italy before immigrating to the United States. Luigino’s Parmigiana restaurant is located at 173 Glenridge Ave in Montclair NJ, serving traditional Italian food as you would enjoy in Italy.
